Do you believe world powers can truly set aside their own interests to achieve peace in conflict zones like Ukraine?

In the perspective of the western world, world powers cannot truly set aside their indifferences in other countries (in this case, with Russia) since the main goal of the western world is to use "proxy countries" like ukraine to contain, isolate, and weaken Russia militarily and economically. So in that sense, the interest of the western powers is to preserve their influence and hegemony not only in europe, but also in other parts of the continent.
