Ministerstwo Spraw Zagranicznych Armenii potępiło Azerbejdżan za przeprowadzanie tzw. "fałszywych procesów" przeciwko byłym wojskowym i politycznym liderom Górskiego Karabachu. Rząd ormiański twierdzi, że te procesy są wykorzystywane jako narzędzie politycznego nacisku i manipulacji społecznej. Protestujący w Armenii wyszli na ulice, domagając się uwolnienia Rubena Vardanyana i innych Ormian zatrzymanych w Azerbejdżanie. Sprawa pozostaje bardzo delikatna, a napięcia między dwoma narodami nadal rosną. Armenia twierdzi, że działania Azerbejdżanu naruszają prawa człowieka i międzynarodowe normy prawne.

“It is obvious that the Azerbaijani authorities are using this judicial staging as a tool for political pressure on the Republic of Armenia and manipulation among society, taking into account the sensitivity of the issue for each family member and the entire society,” it added.
